So let’s start with,

  1. Kit lenses.

  2. Fisheye lenses.

 Kit lenses:

  • It almost certainly came with a standard “kit” lens.

  • These lenses are very versatile and have focal lengths between 35 and 70mm.

  • The standard lens is among the easiest to use, as it provides a similar viewing angle to the human eye.

Fisheye lenses:

  • A fisheye lens is ultra wide angle lens that creates a panoramic and hemispherical image.

  • Fisheye lenses achieve the extremely wide angle of view.

  • Instead of producing images with straight perspective, the fisheye lenses use a special mapping which gives characteristic convex.

  • There are 2 types of fisheye lens:

           1.  Circular fisheye.

  • This type of lens allows more of the scene to be included in the photograph, which is useful in architectural, interior and landscape photography

  • Where the photographer may not be able to move farther from the scene to photograph it.

Normal camera lens:

  • A normal lens is a lens that reproduces a field of view.

About lenses & its types

Camera lenses:

A good quality camera lens is essential for capturing sharp, detailed photos. There are dozens available, to suit every subject and budget.  A lens might be permanently fixed to a camera, or it might be interchangable with lenses of different focal lengths, apertureals ,and other properties.

There are many types of lenses used in photography:

  • Prime lenses.

  • Zoom  lenses.

  • Wide angle camera lenses.

  • Normal camera lenses.

  • Telephoto camera lenses.

  • Macro lenses.

  • Kit lenses.

  • Fisheye lenses.

Prime lenses:

  1. A prime lens is the opposite of a zoom lens , it has a single focal length.

  2.  You can get prime lenses in any focal length, from ultra-wide angle to telephoto.

  3. With the ready availability of zoom lenses in any focal length, it might seem like a technological step backward to use a prime lens, but there are some distinct advantages.

Zoom lenses:

  1. A zoom lens is a type of camera lens that is offers the photographer a useful range of different focal lengths in a single lens.

  2. This is in comparison to a prime lens, which only offers a single focal length.

  3. A zoom lens allows for quick and easy re-framing of a scene while staying in the same physical position.
